Save the date! As we know, FOLKLIFE is about intention, creativity, and being close to the earth. It suits us on these islands because we’re chock-full of artists, of farmers, and of people with a million jobs that they are passionate about. This isn’t only shown in the pages of FOLKLIFE, but also in real life. So in true FOLKLIFE form, we want you to SAVE THE DATE for FOLKLIFE Live! FOLKLIFE Live! is our outdoor magazine launch event taking place Saturday April 25 from 3-9pm gratefully on the island now known as Gabriola, the traditional Coast Salish territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. It’s an event not to be missed! Featuring Gulf Island bands, readings from writers in FOLKLIFE’S first edition, motivational speaking, drumming, and singing from celebrated Patrick Aleck, and much more! Food and Gulf Island craft vendors, beer garden, family activities, and a fabulous time to just spend together and meet the team (Jenn,Patrick,Alina,Margy, Chuck, and more). And dance of course!
